Should you wish to dedicate your professional life to establishment, development and maintaining of manufacturing companies in today’s unforgiving and competitive world, you have come to the right place. The degree programme in Industrial Engineering will enable you to understand the company management strategies implemented and utilized by Tomas Bata, Taichi Ohno and Henry Ford. Their traditional concepts have become fundamental for the current computer-controlled production processes and all-pervading automation which use cloud solutions and automated production process management. You will understand the term “lean manufacturing” and you will get to know the world of technology management, human resource management and process management. You will further develop your creativity and understand how and why to innovate production processes to provide your customers with custom-made products while maintaining high quality standards, reasonable prices and the required production rate.
Extensive knowledge of methodical and theoretical subjects (Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Management, Quantitative Methods in Decision Making, Logistics, World Business Management, Enterprise Information Systems) allows you to start your training in the degree programme in Industrial Engineering. The focus of the programme is outlined by the definition of Industrial Engineering which reads: “Industrial engineering is concerned with the development, improvement, and implementation of integrated systems of people, money, knowledge, information, equipment, energy, materials, analysis and synthesis, as well as the mathematical, physical and social sciences along with the principles and methods of engineering design to specify, predict, and evaluate the results to be attained from such systems and processes.”
The programme boasts nearly 100% employment rate of its graduates, which means that our industrial engineers are in demand and valued in the business world. It is mainly due to the fact that they offer practical skills gained from internships in various industrial companies, as well as due to their unique framework of knowledge which combines managerial and technical dimensions of engineering and therefore brings them new opportunities in today’s digital world.
In the course of your studies, you will study at least one special subject in English and you will have 240 hours of internship in industrial companies with the focus on practice.
