Food Biotechnology and Applied Microbiology
This programme is taught in Czech only
Wikipedia will tell you that “biotechnology is any technology that uses living organisms to make or modify products or processes.” Have you lost your mind yet? We hope not. You still have not even heard that during your studies you will learn to predict changes in food quality and safety, and you will also enter the world of microorganisms. You will find out how to apply these microorganisms to diary cultures as well as to GMOs (genetically modified organisms). On top of that, you will be able to tell your family and friends about terms such as enzyme preparation or DNA biosynthesis with confidence. Sounds interesting, right?
Of course, you will be provided with all the basic information you need at the beginning of the programme so that you do not feel overwhelmed from day one.
