The main goal of this programme is to prepare students for scientific work based on their previous education in the relatively narrow field of finance. Students will broaden their theoretical and methodical knowledge in the field of general economics, application of mathematics and statistics in economics and professional terminology. Students acquire the expertise required for solving demanding issues in the field of financial decision making, business finance, capital markets, banking, insurance, tax systems and international accounting standards. The doctoral programme includes specific disciplines which are focused on the methodology of scientific research and work with information sources.
Graduates will be capable of solving demanding and comprehensive tasks connected with the field of finance which are divided into three basic pillars – stability, development and formation of a strong competitive organization adequate to competitive forces and its position in competitive market surroundings with the aim of the sustainable development of value sources of a particular organization with understanding and respect to the situation on macro and micro level of local and also international environment. The study supports creative and research-oriented employability of the graduates.
