Selection procedure for filling the positions of Research and Development Staff at the Centre of Polymer Systems

The Centre of Polymer Systems at the University institute of Tomas Bata University in Zlín is looking for research and development staff to work on the analysis and processing of plastics. The positions are mainly for the Environmental Technologies research direction, led by Prof. Vladimír Sedlařík.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting scientific research focused on the analysis and processing of plastics
- Contributing to the preparation and implementation of research projects
- Collaborating on projects with industry partners
Requirements:
- A graduate of a master’s study programme in the fields of chemical, natural, or technical sciences with the perspective of starting or completing a doctoral study programme.
A Ph.D. degree is an advantage. Graduates of doctoral study programmes are also encouraged to apply. - Ability to work independently in chemical laboratories
- Communication skills in both Czech and English for common working relationships
- Written and oral presentation skills in both Czech and English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Quick learner
- With the ability to make quick decisions based on theoretical knowledge and the latest information

Job Details:
Location: Zlín
Expected Start Date: January 2025 or negotiable
Employment Type: Fixed-term with potential for extension
