What should I do if I have a problem
Our common goal is to offer a pleasant learning and working environment at the University and see that students and staff are happy when studying and working at TBU. However, sometimes there may be situations when you do not feel comfortable, you are facing a hostile atmosphere at the Faculty or you have problems in communicating with some of your fellow students or teachers, and you would like to discuss this situation with someone. We want to assure you that we have established procedures at the University in a manner enabling you to have someone to discuss these situations/feelings/problems with; together you will be able to find ways that will help you deal with the situation or at least improve it.
You can use the means of informal communication and contact the following persons or constituent parts, depending on the type of the problem.
- Student Affairs Officers/head teacher/Vice-Dean for Studies/Degree Programmes
- Counselling Centre – psychological counselling, legal advice, counselling on social issues
- Vice-Rector for Development
- Vice-Rector for Pedagogical Activities
- Ombudsman
If your problem is related to the observance of principles listed in the TBU Code of Ethics, which is part of our Statute, you can use the official means of communication and contact the Ethics Committee at eticka-komise@utb.cz.
