TBU to Participate in the International Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Design Competition
31. January 2024Tomas Bata University will become one of the co-organizers of the international unmanned aerial vehicle design tournament, the first round of which will take place in Vietnam in June 2024.
The mission of the competition is to encourage and promote students’ education and research in the field of electrical engineering, information technology and artificial intelligence and to strengthen cooperation between the organizing institutions. The students’ task is to build a drone capable of delivering and dropping an object onto a target in constantly deteriorating flight conditions caused by the presence of smoke, steam or other factors.
The launching ceremony of the competition was held in November 2023, with the representatives of Ton Duc Thang University, Vietnam Aviation Academy, HCMC University of Technology and Education, VSB – Technical University of Ostrava, and Tomas Bata University in Zlín in attendance. The opening round of the competition in Asia will be followed by competitions held in the Czech Republic and in other countries.
