TBU Ranks among Top 500 Young Universities Worldwide
7. July 2023On Monday 3 July 2023, THE’s Young University Rankings 2023 revealed the list of leading ‘next generation’ universities. Times Higher Education releases an overview of the best young universities in the world. This list includes universities that are less than 50 years old. Tomas Bata University has been ranked among 500 best universities in the world.
The table used by THE Young University Rankings is based on the same 13 performance indicators as the flagship THE World University Rankings, but the weightings have been adjusted to give less weight to reputation. The universities are judged across all their core missions – teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook – to provide the most comprehensive and balanced comparisons available. Tomas Bata University in Zlín has managed to defend its position as a young, progressive and high-quality higher education institution. Another six Czech universities have been placed in the rankings, with only one of them ahead of TBU. Moreover, Tomas Bata University in Zlín is the youngest of them. In addition, TBU has been placed among the best 40 universities in a subset rankings of millennial universities (established since the year 2000).
