TBU Ranks among the World’s Best Universities of the Third Millennium
19. October 2018Tomas Bata University in Zlín (TBU) ranks among the world’s top universities established in the third millennium. According to the ranking published by the reputable British Times Higher Education company that lists universities established after 2000, TBU finished in 31st+ place. In the competition of universities younger than 50 years, TBU took 201st – 250th place.
The ranking focused on universities younger than 50 years assesses higher education institutions according to several performance indicators – citations, cooperation with industry, international outlook, research and teaching quality. TBU achieved the highest score in the area of cooperation with industry and international outlook. Besides TBU, only one Czech higher education institution was included in the list, namely the University of Ostrava.
Tomas Bata University in Zlín has already succeeded several times in international rankings. For example, in 2016 and in 2017 it was included in the list of the world’s top thousand universities published by the Times Higher Education company, in 2016 it was ranked among 100 best higher education institutions in the area of Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia according to the QS Ranking.
