TBU Has Made Significant Advance in the Times Higher Education Young University Rankings 2024

May 2024Tomas Bata University in Zlín (TBU) has been included in the reputable Times Higher Education Young University Rankings 2024, which lists the world’s top universities younger than 50 years. Our university has been ranked 351st – 400th, which is a significant improvement compared to the last year.
The Times Higher Education Young University Rankings is based on a set of carefully selected performance indicators. This year, 673 universities have been evaluated, compared to 605 universities included in the rankings last year, and another 499 institutions have been listed as having “reporter” status (provided data but did not meet eligibility criteria to receive a rank). The Rankings provides comprehensive and balanced comparisons of universities based on their performance in the core missions: teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.
The rank TBU has achieved this year is perceived as a confirmation of the high quality and significance of our educational and research efforts, as well as motivation to further improve. TBU is thus ranked among the 8 evaluated universities in the Czech Republic, among which it placed second. This success confirms our ever-growing reputation and importance on the international academic scene.
