TBU Gala Ball 2023
8. March 2023After a two-year pause, the long-awaited Gala Ball of Tomas Bata University in Zlín took place on 3 March 2023 in the Congress Centre in Zlín. The theme of the event was “a winter’s ball”; and attendees enjoyed a rich programme of activities, including dance, great music, food and, of course, a raffle.
This year’s ball took place on the birthday of architect Eva Jiřičná, the author of the Congress Centre, which opened its doors to the attendees at 7 pm. With the grand opening, an ice sculpture began to be carved; and the artist kept working on it during the ball.
The evening’s programme commenced with a dance performance of the Elementary Art and Music School in Zlín. Later on, the attendees were welcomed by the event’s presenter Lucie Borhyová. The music programme featured performances by the Prestige Symphony Orchestra, the Prague Lounge Trio and the Frontmen band. The highlight of the event was a fantastic performance by the finalists of Czech-Slovakia’s Got Talent – Mirror Family. Catering for the event was provided by the TBU Refectory.
