Opening Ceremony of the Laboratory of Diagnostics of the Musculoskeletal System
3. October 2023We would like to invite you to attend the opening ceremony of the new Laboratory of Diagnostics of the Musculoskeletal System established within the Footwear Research Centre of Tomas Bata University in Zlín.
The event is scheduled to take place in the building of the University Institute, Nad Ovčírnou IV 3685 in Zlín, 4th floor, room No. 429, at 10:00 am on 4 October 2023.
The laboratory will operate as a professional counselling centre for a comprehensive assessment and diagnosis of the foot as a whole. It will provide a detailed analysis of the feet, make an evaluation under static and dynamic load and carry out the subsequent assessment of further influence on the body posture.
This diagnostics, together with professional consultations and provision of instructions, will then be used in order to develop a specific tailor-made design – for example, a design of a suitable footwear, or aids such as orthopaedic or prosthetic active insoles, or insoles with a stimulating effect.
Here, an important factor is the interconnection between the scientific and research sphere and business and industry, i.e. collaboration with companies producing comfortable, functional and healthy footwear.
