Management Board of TBU and the Zlín Regional Authority Discuss Development of the Region and Strengthening Cooperation
17. July 2023Development Strategy of the Zlín Region for 2030. Such was the topic discussed during the meeting of the Management Board of Tomas Bata University and the Zlín Regional Authority, which was held on 13 July 2023.
The two parties discussed in particular the development of education in the Zlín Region, gradual increase in the number of students, more accommodation options and the need for a sporting area that could be used by the nearly ten thousand students for a variety of sports. “I am glad to see that together with the management board of the Zlín Regional Authority we are looking for ways to gradually fulfil the Zlín region development strategy. Education is extremely important for the development of the region, and I am pleased that we are receiving such great support from the Zlín Regional Authority,” said Prof. Milan Adámek, Rector of TBU.
“The Zlín Regional Authority considers TBU as its closest partner at the moment; the University as a whole is enormously important for the region, and we will encourage its development as much as possible. The agreement we are preparing will clearly define the goals we want to achieve together. We must work systematically and jointly,” said Ing. Radim Holiš, Governor of the Zlín Regional Authority, at the meeting.
