Let’s Give a Chance for Life! Join the Bone Marrow Register!

May 2023For the duration of the Zlín Film Festival week, from 1 June to 7 June 2023, students and employees of Tomas Bata University in Zlín will have the opportunity to join the bone marrow register in a stand located in Školní Street in Zlín. The collaboration with TBU came about through the efforts of Mrs. Zdeňka Wasserbauerová, long-term Czech National Bone Marrow Registry recruiter.
“Anyone aged 18-35 can join the register, after previous consultation and completion of the prescribed form. He/she will collect his/her saliva using a mouth swab and submit the sample to the person in charge,” Zdeňka Wasserbauerová explains the simple procedure. She has already recruited thousands of volunteers, but it is still not enough. Finding a matching bone marrow donor is a key treatment step for leukaemia patients.
Maybe it’s you who will give them hope and a chance for life.
