Former TBU Exchange Student Wins DZS Award

March 2025We are delighted to share that Esref Gunaydin, the oldest Erasmus+ student at Tomas Bata University in Zlín, has been honored with the prestigious DZS Award for the best individual participant coming to Czechia. This recognition highlights his inspiring journey and dedication to lifelong learning.
Esref, a 73-year-old student from Turkey, joined TBU’s Faculty of Technology during the summer semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. His passion for education and remarkable perseverance have made him a standout participant in the Erasmus+ program. His presence at TBU has been a source of inspiration for students and faculty alike.
We are incredibly proud to host Esref and celebrate his achievements. His journey reminds us all that education is a lifelong adventure, and it is never too late to pursue one’s dreams.
