10th Anniversary Edition of Summer Schools Just Started
7. August 2023Today, the summer school courses intended for international students have started at Tomas Bata University in Zlín. This year, the two-week course, combining interesting classes with and a very attractive program, is run by TBU for the 10th time.
One of the most popular courses is Computer Viruses and Security, offered by the Faculty of Applied Informatics since 2015. This year, students from Portugal, Hong Kong, Germany, Romania, Spain and India are taking the course. Students will focus mainly on cyber security and data management, and will get familiarized with modern trends in this area.
Since the courses have attracted considerable interest, TBU has launched an online course in Processes of Risk Assessment and Treatment, which is provided by the Faculty of Logistics and Crisis Management. 12 persons, coming mainly from Europe, registered for the course. Students attending the summer school will have a chance to gain knowledge in risk management. During the classes, they will discuss in detail the principles and methods of threat prevention, risk mitigation and monitoring. Teaching takes place via the interactive online MS Teams app.
The courses are completed with and exam. Those attendees who successfully pass the exam will receive a certificate with assessment via credits.
