Selection procedure for filling the positions of Research and Development Staff on the Life Cycle Sustainability Assessment

The University institute of TBU in Zlín is looking for research and development staff to work on the Life Cycle Sustainability Assessment.
What you can expect in this position:
- You will join a pioneering research team focused on Life Cycle Sustainability Assessment,
- You will be involved particularly in European research projects, aimed at investigating the environmental, economic and social life cycle impact assessment of innovative technologies, particularly in the energy sector
- You will collect, analyse and interpret data for the LCSA sustainability assessment of new energy technologies, and develop and refine methodologies for quantifying environmental, social and economic impacts
- You will work with interdisciplinary teams to integrate socio-economic knowledge with technical and environmental assessments
- You will be involved in preparation and implementation of research projects
- You will be involved in collaborative projects with industry partners
Requirements:
- A graduate of a Ph.D. study programme in the fields of in Sustainability, Environmental Studies, Environmental Economics or a related field or with the prospect of early completion of a doctoral study programme.
- Expertise in impact assessment frameworks and LCA tools (e.g. SimaPro, OpenLCA), experience in stakeholder engagement or qualitative research welcome.
- Strong publication record in the field of sustainability or impact assessment
- Excellent written and verbal English language skills
- Demonstrable ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to make quick judgements based on theoretical knowledge and up-to-date information

Expected Start Date: January 2025 or negotiable
Employment Type: Fixed-term with potential for extension
