Professor Petr Sáha received a prestigious award from the Polymer Processing Society

At the global conference of the Polymer Processing Society PPS-39 in Cartagena, Colombia, Professor Petr Sáha was honoured with the 2024 PPS Fellows award.

This award is presented by the Polymer Processing Society (PPS) to selected members for outstanding scientific and research achievements in polymer processing. Every year, three top experts (Fellows) from each continent are chosen to receive this honour. The award includes a “Diploma” signed by Polymer Processing Society Chief Executive President, Sadhan C. Jana. This programme is the highest level of individual recognition for members who have significantly contributed to the Society’s global development through deep professional knowledge in the field of their activity. Professor Petr Sáha is an internationally recognized scientist in the field of polymers, a promoter of education, science, and research, as well as the founder and rector emeritus of Tomas Bata University in Zlín. He currently serves as the director of the University Institute at TBU, which comprises the university’s research centres, including the Centre of Polymer Systems where he leads the  “Energy and Composite Materials” research direction.
