Cooperation with Vietnam
19. March 2024A team of representatives of Dong Nai Technology University (DNTU) located in Vietnam paid a one-week visit to the Czech Republic. On Monday, 18 March 2024, the delegation also visited Tomas Bata University in Zlín, with which DNTU would like to cooperate in the area of education, namely at Master’s and doctoral level at the FAI, FaME and FMC. Dr. Phan Ngoc Son, Chairman of the DNTU Board of Governors, signed a memorandum of cooperation with Prof. Milan Adámek, Rector of TBU.
“Cooperation should be directed mainly towards the creation of joint double degree programmes. This would mean that Vietnamese students will complete part of their studies at DNTU and part at TBU, and after completion of their studies, they will be awarded two degree certificates. In addition, teachers from DNTU, who need to obtain a degree of doctor, should be admitted to study in part-time doctoral programmes carried out at TBU in English,” said Prof. Milan Adámek, Rector of TBU.
“The cooperation should result in an increase in the number of doctoral students at TBU, and strengthening of the personnel structure of DNTU. Furthermore, a positive effect for TBU should be an increase in the number of students from Vietnam in degree programmes implemented in both Czech and English,” said Prof. Marek Kubalčík, Vice-Rector for Internationalization.
After signing the memorandum, the delegation took a tour of the Faculty of Applied Informatics and Fénix Digitization Centre. TBU has also been cooperating with Ton Duc Thang University in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.
