Professor Pirk to Give Lecture at the FHS
10. October 2022The Faculty of Humanities of Tomas Bata University in Zlín will welcome Prof. Jan Pirk, reputable cardiac surgeon, on 20 October 2022.
A huge lover of historic vehicles, regular participant in running races, newly elected senator, and, above all, top cardiac surgeon, former Director of the Cardiovascular Surgery Department at the Institute for Clinical and Experimental Medicine in Prague (IKEM) and co-founder of the Cardiac Surgery Centre of the University Hospital Královské Vinohrady in Prague, Prof. MUDr. Jan Pirk, DrSc. will give a lecture in the Assembly Hall of the Faculty of Humanities of Tomas Bata University in Zlín at 10.30am on Thursday, 20 October 2022.
His lecture entitled “My Life with Heart Surgery” is intended for all TBU students and employees who would like to learn more about Prof. Pirk’s profession, experience, knowledge and professional adventures. At the end of the lecture, space for discussion and questions will be provided.
The lecture has been organized by the management board of the FHS in collaboration with Jan Svoboda, graduate of Marketing Communications who would like to initiate a tradition by holding this event, namely the organization of regular meetings/lectures where students will have the opportunity to meet significant figures from various areas of expertise.
