• Sustainability in the Development Project for 2022 - TBU and other 23 universities in the Czech Republic have decided to join the project entitled “University Leaders in SDG” (Sustainable Development Goals) for 2022. The aim of the project is to strengthen the role of the university as an effective and responsible public institution within sustainable development.
• StoRIES: Creating an Eco-System for Innovation in Energy Storage - StoRIES (Storage Research Infrastructure Eco-System), a €7 million worth H2020 project, coordinated by Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT, Germany), will kick-off next 1st November 2021.
• Cooperation with the TBU for Action on the Climate Association - Since sustainability is one of the main pillars of the TBU culture, we are very pleased to be able to establish cooperation with student organizations that are actively engaged in these ideas.
• Drink Healthy! - New water vending machines are now available to employees and students of Tomas Bata University in Zlín. The Bezpetek company has installed Filtermac devices in several TBU buildings, which are intended for bottling cooled sparkling and still micro filtered water.
• Ride with Nextbike to Work or to School - TBU has decided to support the active lifestyle of its students, employees and inhabitants of Zlín, and has concluded an agreement with Nextbike Czech Republic on the location of shared bike stations.
