Ride with Nextbike to Work or to School
26. July 2021TBU has decided to support the active lifestyle of its students, employees and inhabitants of Zlín, and has concluded an agreement with Nextbike Czech Republic on the location of shared bike stations.
Near eight university buildings, virtual stations have been set up for renting and returning shared bikes. All users can use bicycles for faster and easier transport between the university buildings and the Halls of Residence. It is an ideal opportunity to alleviate traffic congestion in the city and avoid parking problems.
A total of 120 traditional mechanical bikes and 25 electric shared bikes are available, which can be borrowed from or returned to 80 official stations across Zlín.
It is easy to borrow a bike – just download the app to your smartphone, scan the QR code on the bike and enjoy the ride. The first fifteen minutes of the ride are free. In addition to this, thanks to the agreement with the university, TBU students and staff have the opportunity to make use of a single-use credit amounting to CZK 150, provided that they register in the app with an e-mail address ending in @utb.cz. If you are a holder of the student ISIC card, you are entitled to further discounts.
The Nextbike company runs bike sharing systems also in other cities across the Czech Republic, as well as abroad.
