Two TBU Academics Were Appointed Professors

July 2018Two academics employed at Tomas Bata University in Zlín were among the recently appointed Professors who received their Letters of Appointment from the President of the Czech Republic during an official ceremony held in the Karolinum building in Prague. Both Professors work at the Faculty of Technology.
František Buňka was appointed Professor in Food Chemistry.
Prof. František Buňka is a member of the academic staff of the Department of Food Technology of the Faculty of Technology of TBU. His scientific activities are focused on the application of food additives, optimization of technological processes in the production of food of animal origin, determination of the amount of proteins and amino acids in food products, food security management and population catering in emergency situations.
Petr Slobodian was appointed Professor of Technology of Macromolecular Compounds.
Prof. Petr Slobodian is a member of the academic staff in the Polymer Centre of the Faculty of Technology. He is also employed in the Centre of Polymer Systems of TBU, where he is the head of a research team focusing on the research into systems with sensoric properties, particularly into sensor’s material components for hybrid and programmable materials.
